Sketching This Week

This week I went off to the land between St. Ives and Pendeen, sketching the cliffs and looking at the field systems. I am working on a series of paintings (a body of work in artspeak!) around this area. The weather is so gorgeous, so I took plenty of water for my inks and myself! I could hear the grasshoppers as I sketched. I love going out to record what’s around me - being immersed in the landscape, so I can hopefully translate that feeling into my paintings.
